Concrete Issues, Repairs, and Non-Destructive Testing
Presented By: David P. Langefeld, M.S., P.E.
This presentation will highlight various issues that are encountered in concrete construction, such as low strength, cracking, poor consolidation, cold joints, blowouts, reinforcement placement, and delaminations. Where applicable, these short, picture-filled examples will highlight various non-destructive testing methods used to determine the condition of the concrete and/or the severity of the issue. While these issues will hopefully not occur on any of your projects, knowing what NDT methods are at your disposal can help you decipher the serious from the not so serious.
