Why Geology Matters

Presented By:  Timothy R. Weston, P.E.  MLA Geotechnical

Abstract:

The geologic formations of the Austin area are highly variable and diverse. In this presentation, we will take a look at these geologies, how they were formed, and where you can find them in the Austin area. Then we will tie it all back to how these different geologic formations relate to the design and construction of structures. The presentation will be informative and relatable utilizing Austin area maps, exhibits and design cases.
